In 1997 the assistant controller at Telecom Finland Ltd’s headquarters was asked to generate an activity-based costing model for Phonecards and Public Telephones Division of Telecom Finland. The case objective is to teach construction of an activity-based accounting model, to sort out relevant information and to learn to apply the principle of cause and effect. |
