Abstract: |
In May of 1992, Mr. K.J. Seo, the manager of the ocean bunkering department of SK Shipping Co., was thinking about the past three months in his new job and his options regarding the future of his department. SK Shipping Co. was established in 1982 for the purpose of transporting crude oil purchased from oil exporting countries mostly located in Middle East by its parent company SK Corp., the biggest oil refining company in South Korea. Mr. Seo should give his opinion for the future strategy of the team to the top management in the next week. Would he have to expand its overseas market? Or give up the business? Or wait until the up-turn cycle? Anything else? |
