QHEL had grown at a spectacular rate (10%) since it was established ten years before.
In 2004, QHEL had around 100 employees and offered a wide range of services within clinical operations.
There were no plans to expand into areas requiring significant capital outlay.
A previous application to be involved with SRS had been rejected. However, the company wanted to see continued growth at QHEL.
The focus of the case is on strategic thinking: how to develop an already successful company
within a relatively mature market which was showing signs of decline.
The case is intended tobe used for group analysis by students. |
