Abstract:
Social entrepreneurship is a concept that has received significant attention from both researchers and practitioners. Even though quite a lot of effort is devoted to studying social entrepreneurship nowadays, there are still some debates and ethical concerns related to the contradicting nature of social enterprises and unclear ways to determine their performance. At the same time, there exists a theory of values fit, which describes the effect of person-organization values congruence on organizational performance. This thesis aims to clarify the connection between the concept of values fit and performance in the context of social enterprise. Achieving an understanding of the potential connection will help social entrepreneurs in selecting new management with a better values fit in order to ensure better performance of the top management team, and organization as a whole.
